H.E visit to Hyundai Motors India Engineering (HMIE)

Established in November 2006 at Hyderabad, Telangana State, India by Hyundai Motor Group, HMIE is situated in the Hi-tech City region of Hyderabad, Telangana State which is often referred to as India’s Silicon Valley. Hyderabad is the Information Technology (IT) hub of India and is home for several leading international IT and ITES companies.

HMIE is a centre with one of the most advanced support services for research and development of Hyundai – Kia Motor Company (Namyang, South Korea), Hyundai Motor India Limited (Chennai, India) and Kia Motors India Private Limited (Penukonda, India). HMIE focuses on engineering services and quality enhancement. Now the centre enlists around 900 trained engineers, with a focus on business acumen, vibrant technical and personal development.

Mr. Yi Geun Han, Managing Director, HMIE, presented the projected plans for the year 2022 to H.E. Mr. Chang JaeBok. He mentioned that they are planning to work more towards their sensor/ sensing technology based on the Indian infrastructure (narrow lanes, etc) to help better the user’s driving experience.

During the meeting, HMIE also thanked Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli, Hon’ Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad for his immense support in their projected test-track project.

Further, Mr. Cha Jae Oh, Managing Director, Hyundai Mobis also presented the activities done by Hyundai Mobis in Hyderabad.
