MEETING THE AMBASSADOR CHANG JAE BOK IN DELHI
His Excellency, Mr. Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India assumed his charge on July 21 at the Korean embassy in New Delhi. During his action packed first month, he held a virtual meetings with Consul General to Mumbai Mr. Kim Dong Young, Consul General to Chennai Mr. Kwon Young-seup, and other Indian Honorary Consul Generals on 5th August 2021. Through the interaction, he learned of the Covid-19 situation in other Indian regions and the activities of Korean residents and companies in the country.
Jagdip Singh Honorary Consul General for Chandigarh, Suresh Chukkapalli Honorary Consul General for Telangana, Prashant Joshi Honorary Consul for Goa, Piruz Khambatta Honorary Consul for Gujarat were in attendance.
Ambassador Chang praised the efforts of all the Consul Generals and Consuls during the second Covid-19 wave and asked for their close cooperation for the safety of Korean residents in India, as well as for the enhancement of bilateral economic and cultural relations.
Following the virtual meeting, Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli Honorary Consul General of Telangana had the opportunity to enjoy a conversation with H.E. Mr. Chang Jae-bok, in presence of Mr. Chun Sung-lae, CMD of POSCO, India, consulting ways to strengthen India-RoK economic Partnership on 8th August, 2021.
